With 2,000 cars and over 4,000 people at FOTU 2024 there was nothing unexceptional about the number and variety of average automobiles and fans d’ordinaire occupying the grounds of Grimsthorpe Castle.

In this mediocre meritocracy every mundane motor car was admired equally by enthusiasts and judges alike, be it a drab Datsun, a plain Peugeot or run-of-the-mill Rover. You can check out the winners of the Concours d’Ordinaire here, but this page is devoted to those on whom the spotlight of so-so did not shine – the unsung heroes of FOTU who make this event so marvelously mediocre.

Unloved by many, FOTU cars are cherished by the few.

The judges had a tricky task to pick the winners from the most mediocre selection of Concours entries.
