Radical Racers Get Speed and Safety Updates

Radical has announced a raft of upgrades for the 2025 race season. The SR10 XXR and SR3 XXR both feature enhancements focused on increased performance, higher safety levels, improved reliability and a dash of extra creativity.

Driven by demand from racers in the United States there’s a new carbon fibre single seat, with an integrated wrap-around headrest that’s stronger and lighter than the model that came before, while those opting for a twin-seat setup also benefit from Kevlar seat inserts and stronger mounts. New harnesses offer better comfort and come in a wider range of colours.

The SR10 XXR has a re-designed bellhousing for improved durability and the carbon front splitter is now made with aerospace grade epoxy resin to make it even tougher.

Changing the radius of the sidepods on the SR10 XXR should cut lap times by shifting the aerodynamic load forwards and helping to reduce understeer, while a change in steering rack ratio makes the steering lighter. There’s also a new lightweight clutch and flywheel that offers a quicker blip response and subsequently reduces the risk of locking the rear axle on downshifts.

Drivers wanting to stand out on the grid can choose custom bodywork hues, specify a full livery to be applied at the factory and choose to have the Braid wheels painted in any colour.

The updates will be applied to all new cars built for 2025, but can also be retro-fitted to existing XXR cars allowing drivers across the Hagerty Radical Cup and other national series to remain competitive.
