A backyard bar built from the back end of a classic Mini Cooper could be yours.
The MiniBar designed by The Galloping Gallery was crafted out of the rear half of a British Racing Green Cooper, with a contrasting white roof. There’s a comfy-looking bench seat, flip down table to replace rear quarter-light windows, and a decked flooring area giving plenty of space to enjoy a leisurely libation.
The parcel shelf is now an oak champagne bar, featuring brushed aluminum bottle coolers, while the trunk has been rebuilt for bottle and glass storage and includes a horseshoe-styled drinks turntable. There’s also a lighting system so that you can enjoy your drinks long after the sun sets.
As it retains the obligatory Minilite alloys the whole bar can be wheeled into position at the perfect libation location. It even comes fully-stocked with £500 of vintage Champagne, small-batch Derbyshire gins and single-malt whiskey, ten-year-old cognac, rum, and tequila. Adding ambience are a log burner made from a steel wheel, a horseshoe log basket, panstand and ashpan, and spare wheel foot stool.
The MiniBar was originally donated to British armed forces charity Mission Motorsport and won by its current owner in a raffle. Up for sale again at Collecting Cars, the same good cause will benefit when the hammer falls. We’ll drink to that!
