Photographer Larry Chen attended the GT-R Festival in Australia and came across a particularly special build. In the 18 years he has been shooting cars, Chen says he has never seen anything like it. We haven’t, either. The brainchild of a local pizzeria owner, this 650bhp 1985 Datsun Ute is powered by the VR38 motor out of a 2015 Nissan GT-R, but with a one-of-a-kind turbo setup and fuel tank system. The loss of utility seems like a small price to pay for the added vroom.
