The following supplements the Hagerty International Limited Privacy Policy for Hagerty Drivers Club (“HDC”) subscribers. The full privacy notice contains all of the information required about the processing of your personal information, this document supplements that information with processing that is specific to your use of the HDC platform.

When you join the HDC, you enter into a contract with Hagerty Enthusiast Limited (“HEL”, “we”, or “us”). We are the controller of any personal information you provide to us in relation to your HDC membership, your interaction with the HDC website and your use of the HDC platform.
How we collect personal information
In general, we collect personal information directly from you when you sign up to and interact with the HDC platform and/or our customer services team.
We also collect some personal information by monitoring your activities on the HDC platform and your participation in various Hagerty events, in order to track the rewards you accrue and enable you redeem your rewards.
What personal information we collect, our purposes and justification
We collect, process, store and use personal information for a variety of reasons linked to the provision of HDC.
When accessing the HDC platform, our processing of your personal information will be justified on one of the following bases:
- Performance of a contract – for example to set up your account, take payments and facilitate your access to the HDC platform. This includes personal data such as your name and contact details such as phone number, email address, home address and payment information.
- Consent – for example to provide support and answer your queries and send you marketing communications. This includes personal data such as your name and contact details such as phone number, email address, home address.
- Legitimate interests – to operate the HDC platform, to understand how individuals use it, to improve the user experience and to detect fraud. This includes personal data such as your name, information about the usage of the platform including dates and times accessed, pages viewed and interactions undertaken.
- Legal Obligation – to correspond with government bodies and agencies, law enforcement, regulators, auditors, attorneys / legal advisers, or parties to a lawsuit, if we are required to do so by a court subpoena, court order, litigation or other legal requirement.
Who we share personal information with
As a HDC member, your personal information may also be shared as follows:
- with other Hagerty companies and subsidiaries;
- [with our business partners and third parties that provide or help facilitate the rewards and benefits we offer e.g. where you earn an invitation to a Hagerty event, we may need to disclose some personal information to the event organisers and where you qualify for Hagerty merchandise, we may need to disclose your address to delivery service providers, to fulfil the delivery.]
- with third parties who perform professional, business services for us, including IT service providers, legal service providers, etc;
- with third parties that help us fulfil our membership services. For example, Propello Ltd provides and manages the HDC platform on our behalf.
- with advertisers and marketing service providers that help us deliver content, products, and services that fit your interests;
- with government bodies and agencies, law enforcement, regulators, auditors, attorneys / legal advisers, or parties to a lawsuit, if we are required to do so by a court subpoena, court order, litigation or other legal requirement;
- we may use third party payment processing services in connection with processing your payment on the HDC platform and other online transactions;
- if the ownership of Hagerty ever changes, we will transfer personal information to the new owner.
Please note that where you share a query or feedback on the HDC platform or the HDC community, this may be viewed by other HDC members. Please take steps to also protect your privacy and do not share any sensitive or personal information on publicly accessible parts of the platform.
